Acupuncture is a safe and effective holistic health care system that's been in practice for over 5,000 years. How does it work?
Qi(pronouced "chee") is the life energy that flows through all living things. Health is incluenced by the overall balance of this energy. Qi moves through the body in pathways called meridians that flow like rivers throughout the body providing connections between organs and glands. When the flow of Qi is disrupted (similar to a dam obstructing the flow of a river), imbalances occur producing pain, dis-ease, and illness. Qi can be accessed through specific points along meridians using fine, sterile, disposable needles. The painless insertion of the needles acts as a conduit for manipulating the Qi to encourage it to flow properly, restoring balance in the body thereby alleviating illness. Acupuncture doesn't focus on simply the symptoms, but uses a variety of diagnostic tools (tongue assessment, pulse analysis, etc.) to get to the root of the issue treating the mind, body and spirit as a whole.

Who is my Acupuncturist?
Selena Wooley is a board certified Licensed Acupuncturist and a diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine through the NCCAOM. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at Bastyr University, the Nation's Leading medical school of natural medicine in Seattle, Wa. She attained her Bachelors of Science in Natural Health Sciences and her Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a cerificate in Chinese Herbology from bastyr. As a former licensed Massage Therapist, Selena has many other certifications and qualifications in the field of natural medicine. She is a firm believer in treating each person as a whole, incorporating Eastern and Western sciences into her practise. She is a Reiki Master, DONA trained doula, member of the Jacksonville Herb Society, and has experience in natural healing modalities such as Bach flower essences, aromatherapy, herbal therapeutics, Tai Chi, Qigong, Shamanism, and nutrition. These treatments are excellent for people interested in "trying" acupuncture, especially those who've never had it before.
Stress Treatment: designed to alleviate stress, promote relaxation, and balance overall energy.
Immunity Enhancement Treatment: designed to increase immune system; great for those who experience allergies, frequent colds, or who hae chronic illness
First Acupuncture Visit (90 minutes)- $80.00
This is for anyone who is not doing the 30 min. treatments listed above. This is for the person who wants to have acupuncture on a regular basis. It includes a full health history, physical exam (when needed) and acupuncture treatment.
Return Visit (60 minutes)- $60.00
These are visits anyone can make after having their initial visit.
